The homeowner’s need
Replacing a failing combi.
The homeowner’s existing combi boiler was old and failing. SwiftHeat UK completed its replacement with a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 40kW combi on 28 August 2026.
The project combined the new boiler with a system magnetic filter and the homeowner’s existing Tado thermostat. Retaining the thermostat allowed the replacement to work with the heating controls already in place.

The replacement boiler
A new Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 40kW combi replaced the previous combi boiler, providing central heating and hot water on demand.
Existing Tado controls
The new boiler was connected to the homeowner’s existing Tado thermostat. A replacement thermostat was not part of this project.
Magnetic filtration
A system magnetic filter was fitted. Magnetic filtration helps collect magnetic debris circulating within the heating system.
A considered replacement
The boiler is one part of the heating system.
This project brought together the replacement appliance, existing controls and magnetic filtration. The project photograph shows the installed boiler and connected pipework.
