Your roof could do more for your home. Your heating and electricity systems could work more closely together. And your next energy decision could open up possibilities for the years ahead.

That is the vision behind SwiftHeat UK Solar Power, by SwiftHeat UK Group Ltd: helping customers understand how solar generation, battery storage and carefully planned heating can fit into everyday life.

It begins with the property and the people who use it. The roof, the morning routine, the evening demand, the rooms that need warmth and the changes you may be planning all help shape a useful recommendation.

Our purpose is to make those choices clearer, with a practical route from the first conversation to a considered design, installation, handover and ongoing care.

Put daylight to work.

Solar photovoltaic panels turn daylight into electricity. Used while it is being generated, that power can reduce the electricity your home buys from the grid and lower the carbon associated with your electricity use. Panels work in cloudy conditions too, although output changes with the weather, roof orientation, shading and seasons.

For one household, the opportunity might be daytime appliances and home working. For another, it could include future vehicle charging or electrically powered heating. The starting point is understanding what your roof could produce and how much you could use.

SwiftHeat UK Solar Power brings together roof and electrical assessment, an appropriate panel layout, generation estimates and a comparison of solar alone with solar and storage. You receive advice that connects the proposed equipment to your own priorities.

Make it by day. Keep some for later.

A battery can store surplus solar electricity for use later, including in the evening. With a suitable time-of-use tariff and compatible controls, it may also charge from the grid during cheaper periods.

Good battery planning considers both usable capacity—how much energy it stores—and power output—how much it can supply at once. The right choice also depends on installation space, your pattern of use, losses, warranty terms and cost.

We compare the extra investment with the expected benefit. A larger battery is useful only when its additional capacity serves a worthwhile purpose for your property.

Your options should be understandable. The proposal should show what a battery adds, what it costs and the assumptions behind the forecast.

Already have solar? Build on what you have.

Your next improvement may be a compatible battery, revised controls or a better understanding of how your existing system performs.

We can assess the equipment already installed, available records, inverter compatibility, usage and export arrangements before recommending a retrofit. Existing warranties and any Feed-in Tariff arrangements need to be understood before changes are made.

For properties without solar, standalone battery storage may also be worth exploring where the tariff and usage pattern support it. The assessment should account for charging costs, energy losses and future replacement needs.

The aim is a practical improvement that fits your circumstances and makes sensible use of the equipment you already own.

Solar benefits: buy less electricity, store energy for later and get paid for eligible exports. Benefits depend on the home, system and tariff.

Understand the value, before you invest.

There are two different financial benefits to consider: electricity you no longer need to buy, and payments for eligible surplus electricity exported to the grid. Your proposal should show them separately.

The Smart Export Guarantee provides a route to payment for eligible exports in Great Britain. You must apply to an export supplier; rates, metering, certification and acceptance requirements matter. Export payments do not begin automatically when panels are installed.

For an initial budget reference, Energy Saving Trust currently gives around £7,600 for a typical 4.5 kWp solar installation and around £4,600 for a 5 kWh battery system. These are independent examples, not SwiftHeat UK Group Ltd quotations. They should not be added together as a package price.

Our written quotation sets out equipment, access, electrical work, inclusions, exclusions and applicable VAT. Savings modelling considers your usage, tariffs and likely generation. A forecast is an estimate, and electricity standing charges generally remain.

Care for the years ahead.

Confidence in an energy system includes knowing who to contact when something changes.

Our solar and battery maintenance offering includes performance reviews, condition checks and fault investigation, with the available work confirmed for your equipment before booking. We consider panels, inverter, battery and controls together, then explain the findings and any proposed repairs.

Care may include reviewing alerts and generation records, inspecting accessible equipment, appropriate electrical checks and assessing settings or supported updates. Cleaning is recommended where needed, with safe access considered.

Systems installed by another company can be considered after an initial assessment. Inspection intervals follow equipment instructions, installation conditions and professional advice; maintenance, parts, roof access and optional monitoring are separately scoped unless included in your quotation.

Clear findings. An agreed next step. A record of the work.

A bigger picture: your whole home, working together.

Solar becomes particularly interesting when it is considered alongside heating, hot water, storage and controls. SwiftHeat UK Solar Power brings that wider perspective to the conversation through SwiftHeat UK Group Ltd’s heating and energy approach.

We want customers to be able to plan across technologies: understand their current system, identify useful improvements and make a sensible sequence of investments. That could mean solar now with provision for a later heat pump, or a coordinated review of generation, heating and storage.

The design starts with heat demand, insulation, electrical supply, available space and how the building is used. Controls then help the selected technologies operate coherently.

You do not need to install everything at once. A staged plan can make the next decision easier and reduce the chance of buying equipment that limits your future options.

Solar and air source heat pumps

An air source heat pump uses electricity to move heat from outdoor air into the property. Solar can contribute to its electrical demand, and suitable storage and scheduling can help use available energy later.

Winter heating demand often peaks when solar output is lower. A domestic battery shifts energy between times of day; it does not store summer generation for winter. Grid electricity will normally remain part of the plan.

Solar and electric boilers

An electric boiler may suit particular properties, including some where a heat pump is impractical. Solar can contribute when generation is available, but direct electric heating needs substantially more electricity for the same heat than a well-performing heat pump.

Running costs, supply capacity and storage requirements need careful assessment. We compare the options around the building’s needs, rather than assuming solar makes every electric heating system economical.

Useful heat can be stored too.

A suitable hot-water cylinder or thermal store adds another planning option: using available energy to prepare heat for later. The best arrangement depends on equipment compatibility, safe temperature control and the relative value of using, storing or exporting the electricity. Comfort and hot-water hygiene remain part of the design.

Greater energy independence, with an honest plan.

Our vision is for homes and businesses to generate more of their own electricity, use it intelligently and make better decisions about the energy they buy.

Solar, batteries and coordinated controls can form a local energy system. A true microgrid goes further: it is designed to control connected generation and demand and, where specified, disconnect from the wider grid and operate independently.

That distinction matters. Standard grid-connected solar and storage do not automatically keep a property powered in a blackout. Backup requires suitable equipment, electrical protection and a specifically designed operating arrangement, with supported circuits and runtime made clear.

Generating as much electricity as you use over a year also does not mean being self-sufficient at every moment. Weather, night-time demand and winter heating still need to be accounted for.

The practical ambition is greater control and less reliance on bought-in electricity. Any proposal for independent operation or backup must be separately assessed and specified.

The same thinking can help businesses.

For a business operating mainly during daylight, it is worth investigating how closely solar generation could match its working hours. A workshop, office or commercial property may have very different priorities from a home: daytime equipment loads, heating schedules, supply limits and continuity of essential operations.

Our wider vision includes helping business owners explore those connections. A project discussion can consider solar, storage and appropriate heating technologies together, with feasibility, delivery arrangements, permissions and certification confirmed for the proposed work.

The opportunity should be demonstrated through a site-specific assessment. Business owners can begin by sharing their location, electricity use, operating hours and plans for the property.
