New copper pipework. Six raw metal column radiators. A Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000+ Style 32kW combi at the heart of the system.
For this homeowner, modernising the heating meant looking at the whole installation. SwiftHeat UK Group Ltd replaced the ageing microbore pipework, renewed the radiators and controls, and installed a new boiler—bringing the work together into one complete upgrade.
Follow a complete central heating upgrade with new copper pipework, six raw metal column radiators and a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000+ Style 32kW combi.
The starting point
Looking at the system. Thinking about the home.
An ageing heating system is a collection of connected parts. The boiler supplies the heat; pipework carries it; radiators deliver it to the rooms; controls help the household manage it.
This project addressed those parts together. The agreed scope included replacing the old microbore pipework, removing redundant runs, fitting six new radiators and installing a Worcester Bosch combi with wireless programmable controls.
The aim was a thoroughly renewed installation, with attention to the connections beneath the surface as well as the finishes the customer sees every day.
The work behind the transformation
From the pipework to the final radiator valve.
01
A renewed pipework network
We removed the old microbore pipework and upgraded to 15mm copper throughout the agreed heating installation. Redundant pipework was removed to leave a neater arrangement.
The film shows the engineer working on the new copper connections, giving a closer view of a part of the project that is often concealed once the work is complete.
02
Six radiators with character
Six raw metal column radiators brought a distinctive finish to the rooms. Matching antique brass thermostatic radiator valves completed the installation, pairing the radiator style with individual room-temperature adjustment.
03
A new boiler and controls
A Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000+ Style 32kW combi was installed alongside wireless programmable heating controls. The boiler, pipework, radiators and controls formed one coordinated scope of work.
The work included a full system flush and water treatment, with a magnetic system filter fitted to help capture circulating magnetic debris.
We commissioned and registered the new boiler, completed the Building Regulations certification and provided Gas Safe certification. Those completion steps sit alongside the visible workmanship.
Our Boiler Management Condition Report is complimentary with every boiler installation and service, helping customers understand their system and the work recorded.
The homeowner now has renewed heating pipework, six coordinated column radiators, programmable controls and a new combi boiler, supported by system cleaning, filtration and completed certification.
The raw metal radiators and antique brass valves give the finished work a consistent character. Behind them, the renewed connections form part of the same carefully completed installation.
System design, settings, the property and household use all influence efficiency. Actual energy use and running costs vary; the specification for another home begins with its own assessment.
Care in every connection. Confidence in every detail.
