Every business has a story behind the name.
For SwiftHeat UK, that story isn’t simply about boilers, heating systems or plumbing. It’s about the people behind the business, the experience they bring and the principles shaping the company they want to build.
At the heart of SwiftHeat UK are Tristan Jones, Managing Director, and Kieran Heycock, Principal Engineer & Co-Founder.
Two different professional backgrounds. One shared approach.
Engineering. Care. Accountability.
Building a different kind of heating company
SwiftHeat UK is an award-winning, family-run Welsh business built around a straightforward belief:
Good advice should begin with understanding the customer, the property and the existing system — not with deciding what to sell.
That belief has shaped one of the principles at the heart of the company:
Assess First. Recommend Second.
It sounds simple, but it influences the way SwiftHeat approaches everything from a boiler fault or heating-system problem to a new installation or a conversation about lower-carbon heating.
A boiler or heat pump doesn’t operate in isolation. Controls, radiators, pipework, circulation, water quality, zoning, hot-water demand and the property itself can all influence how effectively a heating system performs.
Sometimes replacement is the right answer.
Sometimes improving the system around it can make a meaningful difference.
And sometimes the right advice is to maintain what is already there.
For Tristan and Kieran, that’s what responsible engineering should look like.
What assessment means for your home
A cold room is a useful example. Before recommending radiator replacement or an upgrade, the assessment considers room heat loss, emitter output, valves and circulation. Where contamination is suspected, power flushing and system cleaning are considered against the condition of the system and the evidence found.
The same principle applies to boiler choices. A home with a suitable cylinder-based arrangement may benefit from retaining a heat-only boiler configuration. Someone exploring Vaillant ecoTEC plus and the remastered range needs to compare the arrangement, heating and hot-water requirements, controls and installation scope before choosing a model.
These decisions bring the company’s philosophy into practical advice: explain what has been found, why work is recommended and what the customer is being asked to agree to. Explore SwiftHeat’s heating advice for a starting point before discussing your property.
Two backgrounds. One philosophy.
As Managing Director, Tristan brings more than 16 years of engineering experience from technically demanding industries including oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, nuclear and steel manufacturing.
That experience has helped shape SwiftHeat UK’s approach, with a strong emphasis on quality, technical standards, careful planning, compliance and accountability — and, above all, delivering an exceptional customer journey from the first conversation through to completion and beyond.
As Tristan explains:
“For me, the customer journey has to be at the heart of everything we do at SwiftHeat UK.”
Alongside him, Kieran brings extensive hands-on expertise across domestic and commercial gas engineering, plumbing and heating.
As Principal Engineer & Co-Founder, his focus is firmly on assessment, diagnosis, workmanship and ensuring that the systems SwiftHeat works on perform as they should.
Kieran’s approach is equally straightforward:
“Good engineering starts with properly understanding the property, the system and what the customer actually needs.”
Together, those perspectives give SwiftHeat UK something important: strategic engineering thinking combined with practical, hands-on technical experience.
More than boilers
The company Tristan and Kieran are building extends well beyond the traditional idea of a boiler installer.
SwiftHeat UK’s capabilities span gas, oil, LPG and air source heat pump technologies, supporting domestic and commercial customers across a broad spectrum of heating, plumbing and engineering services.
From boiler installation, servicing, repairs and diagnostics to central heating systems, controls, radiators, plumbing and lower-carbon heating solutions, the philosophy remains consistent:
Understand the complete system before recommending the solution.
That breadth is becoming increasingly important as homeowners and businesses navigate decisions around energy efficiency, existing heating systems, controls and the transition towards lower-carbon technologies.
The objective isn’t to push every customer towards the same answer.
It’s to help them understand the right answer for their property.
Recognition built on engineering and customer care
In 2026, that approach was recognised at the Wales Energy Efficiency Awards, where SwiftHeat UK was named Wales’ Boiler Installer & Heating Contractor of the Year 2026.
The company also received recognition for its work in energy consultancy and vulnerable customer support.
Those achievements mean a great deal to the team — but they’re not the destination.
The bigger ambition is to continue building a Welsh company recognised for sound engineering, responsible advice, high technical standards and genuine care for the people and properties it serves.
Because behind every heating system is a home, a family, a business or a community relying on it.
And behind SwiftHeat UK are people prepared to put their names to the advice they give and the work they carry out.
The people behind the name
SwiftHeat UK may work with heating systems, but ultimately the business is about people — the customers who trust us with their homes and businesses, the communities we serve and the team whose name and reputation stand behind every recommendation.
That is the company Tristan and Kieran are building:
Shaped by engineering.
Strengthened by care.
Underpinned by accountability.
Assess First. Recommend Second.
The Heart of Your Home, in Expert Hands.
