City turn on the style
Cardiff City delivered a superb 5–1 win over Watford on Tuesday 13 October. Jack Moylan opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 11 minutes and struck again on 35, finishing a move supplied by Cian Ashford.
The pressure kept coming. Mattie Pollock diverted Joel Bagan’s corner into his own net on 41 minutes, before Ollie Tanner cut inside and fired low to make it 4–0 before the break. The own goal was part of a first half in which City gave Watford little breathing space.
Nathan Trott contributed important saves, while Chris Willock saw a second-half penalty saved. Substitute Callum Robinson added City’s fifth on 85 minutes; Hector Kyprianou’s late header was Watford’s consolation.
Clinical finishing, relentless attacking intent and plenty for the Bluebirds faithful to enjoy: this was a performance worth celebrating.
